Ingredients:
• 1/2 Kg – Channa Dal
• 1 cup – Rice
• 10 – Green chillies
• 5-6 Garlic Cloves
• 1/2 inch piece Ginger
• 1 tsp Aniseeds
• 1 bunch Coriander leaves
• Turmeric powder
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Soak dal and rice for 2 hours. Grind to a rough paste.
- Grind green chillies, coriander, garlic, ginger, ajwain and aniseeds to a smooth paste.
- Mix the ground pastes (you should not let it get watery).
- Heat oil in a deep pan and fry small amounts (with a spoon) till golden brown.
- Serve this yummy vada hot with tomato ketchup.
