
Ingredients:
• 1 – Raw Mango
• 1 cup – Jaggery
• 1 tsp – mustard
• Curry leaves, a small quantity
• 1 tbsp – sambar powder
• 1 tbsp – Red Chilli powder
• Salt, a pinch
• Oil for frying
Method:
- Wash and peel the skin from mango and grate finely. Boil it for some 5 minutes till it becomes soft to touch.
- Grate jaggery and boil it in water and filter all the dust particles. Add it to the mango.
- Heat oil in a pan/kadai, splutter mustard seeds, curry leaves and add it to the mango-jaggery mix.
- Add a pinch of salt, not more than that.
- Now add sambar powder, red chilli powder.
- Let it boil for some 10 minutes.
- Mangai pachadi is ready to be served.
