Ingredients:

• 1 Beet [ grated raw ]
• Mustard Seeds [ rai or Mohari ]
• Cumin seeds [ Jeera ]
• 5 – 6 leaves of kari patta
• 4 – 5 tbsp of yogurt [ Curd ]
• Asafoetida [ Hing ]
• 1/4 tbsp of Green chilli [ finely chopped ]
• 2 tbsp of Ghee or oil
• Sugar and salt [ as required ]

Method:

  1. First take 2 tbsp of oil in a small pan. Heat the oil.
  2. Add Mustard and Cumin seeds and let them flutter.
  3. Add asafoetida and karipatta.
  4. Add finely chopped green chilli.
  5. Add the oil to grated beetroot.
  6. Add salt, sugar and curd to beetroot.
  7. Mix well.
