
Ingredients:
• 1.5 cups – gram flour/besan
• 1.5 -medium onion, chopped fine
• 2- medium tomatoes, chopped fine
• 1/2 cup – Wheat flour
• 2-3 green chillies, chopped
• 10 – curry leaves, chopped
• Salt to taste
• 1/2 tsp – turmeric/haldi powder
• 1 tsp – roasted cumin/jeera powder
• 2- pinches soda
• Green chutney to serve
Method:
- In a big bowl, add besan and wheat flour and mix well.
- Now add salt, soda, onions, tomatoes, green chillies, curry leaves, jeera powder, haldi and mix well.
- Pour some water in the mixture and mix well without any lumps.
- The batter should not be too thick or too thin; keep aside for 30 minutes.
- Heat a pan and pour 2 tsp of olive oil.
- Pour a small bowlful of mixture on the pan and spread it with a spoon.
- Cook it on medium flame for 3-4 minutes to prevent it from burning.
- Turn the chila over and cook on the other side too.
- When cooked, remove and serve immediately with green chutney.
