
Ingredients:
• 1.5 kg – raw mangoes
• sufficient water to boil the mangoes
• Sugar according to taste
• 2 tsp – salt
• 1 tsp – Rock Salt
• 2 tsp – freshly roasted Cumin seed powder
Method:
- Wash the mangoes.
- Add sufficient water and pressure cook the mangoes till two whistles.
- Allow it to cool and squeeze out the pulp.
- Add sugar, salt, rock salt and cumin seed powder. Mix well.
- Boil until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Remove from fire and allow it to cool.
- Strain and store in dry sterilised airtight bottles.
- To Serve:
- Add 4 to 5 tbsp of aam panna in a tall glass.
- Pour sufficient water and mix well.
- Add salt if needed.
- Add crushed ice.
- Mix well and serve chilled.
