Ingredients:

• 1.5 kg – raw mangoes
• sufficient water to boil the mangoes
• Sugar according to taste
• 2 tsp – salt
• 1 tsp – Rock Salt
• 2 tsp – freshly roasted Cumin seed powder

Method:

  1. Wash the mangoes.
  2. Add sufficient water and pressure cook the mangoes till two whistles.
  3. Allow it to cool and squeeze out the pulp.
  4. Add sugar, salt, rock salt and cumin seed powder. Mix well.
  5. Boil until the sugar dissolves completely.
  6. Remove from fire and allow it to cool.
  7. Strain and store in dry sterilised airtight bottles.
  8. To Serve:
  9. Add 4 to 5 tbsp of aam panna in a tall glass.
  10. Pour sufficient water and mix well.
  11. Add salt if needed.
  12. Add crushed ice.
  13. Mix well and serve chilled.
