Ingredients:

• 1 cup – ponni Rice
• 1 cup – raw Rice
• 1 cup – tur dal
• 1 cup – Channa dal
• 3/4 cup – Urad Dal
• 6 – Red Chilli
• 1 – Onion
• a few Curry leaves
• 6 – Green chilli
• For chutney:
• 1 cup – grated Coconut
• 3 – Green chillies
• 2 Cloves – Garlic
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Soak the ingredients overnight and grind to a coarse batter.
  2. Add salt, turmeric powder, asafoetida according our taste.
  3. Chop an onion finely, with a few curry leaves and add to the batter.
  4. Fry the dosa with gingelly oil.
  5. For chutney:
  6. Grind the ingredients to a coarse paste – just turn once in the mixer.
  7. Serve hot the ada dosai with the chutney (thuvayal).
