Ingredients:

• 1 cup – fresh shelled peas
• 1/2 cup – Paneer cubes
• 1/2 cup – roasted cashews
• 4 – Tomatoes
• 1 – Onion finely sliced
• 1 tbsp – ginger-garlic-cilantro paste
• 1/4 tsp – Clove powder
• 1/4 tsp – Cinnamon powder
• 1/4 tsp – coriander powder
• 1/4 tsp -cumin powder
• Salt to taste
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 2 tbsp – oil
• 1 cup – water

Method:

  1. Grind the roasted cashews to a fine powder.
  2. Heat oil in a saucepan. Add and saute finely chopped onions till translucent.
  3. Add the ginger-garlic-cilantro paste and cook for few seconds.
  4. Add the tomatoes and cook till they soften.
  5. Stir in cashew powder, the other masala powders, salt, turmeric and chilli powder.
  6. Let these cook for some time.
  7. Finally add the green peas and paneer cubes, and about a cup of water.
  8. Mix well and simmer covered for about 5 to 10 mins until the sauce thickens.
  9. Serve with rice, parathas or chapattis.
