Ingredients:

• Buttermilk – 5 cups
• Besan dal – 1.5 cup
• Salt to taste
• Red Chillies – 4
• Mustard Seeds – 1 tbsp
• Jeera seeds – 1 tbsp
• Cooking oil – 2 tbsp
• Red Chilli powder to taste
• Fresh Coriander leaves

Method:

  1. Heat the oil and put mustard. Allow to splutter.
  2. Add jeera seed, chillies, salt, chilli powder and turmeric. Saute well.
  3. Then lower heat and add the buttermilk.
  4. Add the besan and cook while stirring constantly.
  5. Simmer for 15 minutes and then add coriander leaves to it.
  6. Serve hot.
