Ingredients:
• 1 big bunch Spinach (washed well and finely chopped)
• 5 medium sized Potatoes
• 5 cubes cheese (grated)
• 5 bread slices
• 3 tbsp Corn flour
• 5 to 6 Green chillies (crushed)
• 2 piece Ginger (crushed)
• handful finely chopped Coriander leaves
• 1/2 tsp pepper powder
• oil for deep frying
• salt to taste
Method:
- Immerse the washed spinach in boiling water for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Remove and put it in plain water for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Remove and squeeze out the water completely with your hands.
- Grind the spinach coarsely. Keep aside.
- Dry grind the bread slices.
- Boil the potatoes and mash when still hot.
- In a big bowl mix together mashed potatoes, spinach, cheese, crushed green chillies, ginger, coriander leaves, corn flour, pepper powder and salt. Mix gently.
- Divide into equal medium sized portions.
- Shape each portion into ball.
- Deep fry the spinach- cheese balls in hot oil till golden.
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup and French fries.
