Ingredients:
• 1 kg – Chicken with skin
• 1/4 tsp – Cinnamon powder
• 1/2 tsp – mixed spices (1/2 tsp each of carom seeds, fennel, cumin, mustard and fenugreek)
• 1/4 tsp – black pepper powder
• 1/4 tsp – Nutmeg powder
• 1/4 tsp – green Cardamom powder
• Salt to taste
• 1 tbsp – Lemon juice
Method:
- Cut chicken into large pieces; wash and pat dry.
- Place cinnamon, nutmeg, green cardamom, mixed spices, black pepper, and salt in a bowl.
- Add lemon juice and mix well to make thick paste.
- Place the chicken pieces in a bowl and rub in the paste thoroughly.
- Marinate at room temperature or overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Grease a baking dish with oil, place chicken pieces with skin side down, and bake for about 20 minutes.
- Remove from oven, turn them over and bake for 10-15 more minutes or until the chicken is tender but still moist.
- Remove the skin and shred the chicken with a sharp knife.
- Put the shredded chicken back in the baking dish.
- Bake for 5 more minutes and serve.
