Ingredients:

• 1/2 kg – colocasia
• 1 tbsp – Red Chilli powder
• 2 tbsp – coriander powder
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• a pinch – asafetida
• salt to taste
• sesame oil for frying

Method:

  1. Wash and keep colacasia in pressure cooker. Don’t close the lid tightly. Just keep the top inverted.
  2. See every 10 minutes whether it is soft.
  3. Keep it for at least 20 minutes.
  4. Now take it off, allow it to cool and peel off the skin.
  5. Cut into desired shapes. Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and mix them well.
  6. Heat oil in a pan/kadai, add asafoetida, then the colacasia and mix them well.
  7. Colacasia fry is ready to be served.
