
Ingredients:
• To Marinate:
• 500 g – boneless Chicken
• Salt to taste
• 1/4 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/4 tsp – pepper powder
• 1/2 tsp – Garlic paste
• 1/2 tsp – Ginger paste
• For Coating:
• 1 tbsp – flour
• 1/4 tsp – five spice powder
• 1 – Egg white
• 1 tbsp – Milk
• Cornflakes crushed
• Oil for frying
Method:
- Marinate the chicken for an hour or two.
- Steam the chicken on low heat till cooked through.
- Once cooled, sprinkle the flour and five spice powder.
- Mix well, ensuring that each piece is slightly coated.
- Whisk the egg whites along with milk.
- Dip each chicken piece in the egg mixture and roll on the crushed cornflakes till well coated.
- Heat oil and drop the pieces when the oil is hot and cook on low heat.
- The cornflakes get burnt if cooked on high heat.
- Drain on to an absorbent paper when the pieces turn golden brown.
- You can sprinkle five spice powder or chat masala on the fried chicken pieces.
