Ingredients:

• 1 cup – moong dal
• 1 cup – Sugar
• 1 cup – Ghee
• 2 cup – half and half (thick milk)
• 1 tbsp – besan
• 1 cup – water
• Almonds – 8
• Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp
• Cashews – a few

Method:

  1. Soak dal for 4-5 hours and then grind it well. Make a syrup of sugar. Add saffron flakes to it.
  2. Heat ghee in a heavy saucepan and add dal paste.
  3. Add gram flour.
  4. Fry till ghee separates.
  5. Add half and half. When it dries up add sugar syrup little by little.
  6. When it dries up add cardamom powder, cashews and almonds
