
Ingredients:
• For the kofta:
• 1 cup – mixture of soaked urad dal, yellow moong dal, Channa dal, Toor Dal
• 1 small cup – mixture of coriander leaves, spring onions, Mint leaves
• 1 tsp – hot oil
• Salt as per taste
• Oil for frying
• For the gravy:
• 1 – Onion
• 2 – Tomatoes
• 1 tsp – Ginger – Garlic paste
• Salt as per taste
• 1 tbsp – paste of kofta
• 1 tbsp – Cream
• 1/2 tbsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1 tbsp – coriander powder
• 1 tbsp – roasted fennel, coriander, cumin powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• Oil for cooking
Method:
- Make a thick paste of the soaked dals, salt, coriander-mint mixture and 1 tsp of hot oil.
- Mix everything well (reserve 1 tbsp) and make small balls.
- Deep fry in hot oil. Drain and keep aside.
- Take another pan, heat 2 to 3 tbsps of oil.
- Add the onion paste and fry it till it turns brown.
- Add ginger – garlic paste and mix well.
- When the mixture turns brown, add crushed tomatoes.
- Add all the spices and salt.
- When it boils, add the reserved kofta paste and cream, and let it simmer.
- Finally, add 2 cups of water and the fried koftas.
- Cook for 2 mins and serve hot.
