
Ingredients:
• 3 – long green karelas (bitter gourd)
• 3 tbsp – Tamarind paste
• 6 tbsp – dry/fresh coconut-grated
• 2 tbsp – sambar masala powder
• 1 tbsp – Red Chilli powder
• 2 tbsp – sesame(til)seeds
• salt as per taste
• 5 tbsp – oil
• 5 cups – water
Method:
- Boil water with salt and tamarind paste.
- Slit karela and add to boiling water.
- Cook for 15 mins. Remove seeds from karelas.
- Mix grated coconut, sambar powder, chilli powder and til.
- Stuff this mixture in karelas.
- Take oil in frying pan.
- Place karelas and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Bharwa karelas are ready. Serve with rotis.
