Ingredients:
• Toor Dal – 1 cup
• Onions – 2, chopped finely
• Tomatoes – 2, chopped finely
• Garlic Cloves – 5, chopped finely
• Ginger – 1inch piece, chopped finely
• Red Chilli powder – 1 tsp
• Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
• Garam Masala powder – 1/4 tsp
• Salt to taste
• Ghee – 1-2 tbsp for seasoning
• eggs – 3
• Coriander leaves for garnishing
Method:
- Pressure cook dal in half cup water
- Heat ghee. Add the finely chopped onions and fry till light brown
- Then put in the chopped garlic and ginger. Fry till soft.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and fry till the tomatoes turn mushy.
- Put in the turmeric, garam masala and chilli powder. Fry for about 5 mins
- Now put in the cooked dal, mix well and add salt to taste
- When almost done, break the eggs and pour directly into the dal. Keep stirring. Remove immediately from heat.
- Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with white rice or roti.
