Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Whole-wheat flour
• 1/2 cup – All-purpose flour
• 1/4 cup – Vanilla flavored custard powder
• 3/4 cup – Sugar
• 1 cup – Milk
• 1/4 cup – Butter
• 2 tsp – Baking powder
• 1/4 tsp – Baking soda
• 1/4 cup – Oil
Method:
- Sift together the whole-wheat flour, all-purpose flour, baking soda and baking powder and keep aside.
- Heat milk, butter and sugar together until the sugar melts, then turn off the stove.
- Add the oil and mix.
- Slowly add custard powder to the wet ingredients and mix well without forming any lumps.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and gently stir with a spatula, don’t overmix.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees .
- Grease either a loaf pan or mini loaf pan.
- Pour the prepared cake batter on to the greased mould and bake for 20-25 minutes until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
- Serve with a cup of tea or coffee.
