Ingredients:

• 4 – idli
• 1 cup – finely sliced Onion
• 1 cup – finely sliced Tomato
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – mustard
• a pinch – Turmeric
• a pinch – Asafoetida
• Salt to taste
• Oil to fry

Method:

  1. Cut the idlis into small cubes and deep fry in oil.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a kadai. Add mustard and when it splutters, add turmeric powder, asafoetida.
  3. Saute the onions.
  4. Add the tomatoes.
  5. Add chilli powder and salt and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Add the fried idlis and cook for another 5 minutes.
  7. Serve hot.
