Ingredients:
• 4 – small white Pomfrets
• Salt, pepper and lime-juice to marinate
• For the masala:
• 1 bunch Mint leaves
• 1.5 bunch – Coriander leaves
• 2 – large Onions chopped
• 1 tsp – garlic-ginger paste
• Salt to taste
• Oil | 1/4 cup – Tamarind extract
• 1 tbsp – Vinegar
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala
• 1/4 tsp – Cinnamon powder
• 1/4 tsp – Cardamom powder
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder.
Method:
- Clean the fish as a whole and marinate the fish with lime, salt and pepper for 1 hour.
- Grind the mint and coriander leaves with a little water to make a paste.
- Fry onions in oil till light brown, add the garlic ginger paste and powdered spices and fry well.
- Then add the tamarind and vinegar along with salt.
- Add the paste and fry for 2 mins.
- Wash the fish and smear this masala for 10-15 mins.
- Spray oil on the fish and grill open until it is cooked.
