
Ingredients:
• 2 cups – green Tomatoes (chopped)
• 1/2 cup – yellow split moong dal
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – pepper powder
• Salt to taste
• 1 tbsp – Coconut oil
• A few sprigs – Curry leaves
• 1/4 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1 – dry Red Chillies
• 1/4 tsp – Cumin seeds
Method:
- Dry roast yellow split moong dal until golden brown.
- In a pressure cooker, add moong dal, chopped green tomatoes, turmeric powder and pepper powder with enough water.
- Pressure cook until 3 whistles and turn off the stove.
- Mash the gravy and add water if needed to adjust the consistency of the curry.
- Heat coconut oil, add mustard seeds and let it splutter.
- Add dry chillies and cumin seeds.
- Add the tempered spices to the curry.
