Ingredients:
• 1 – potato, boiled and smashed
• 1/4 cup – green moong, soaked and boiled
• 1/4 – Onion
• 1.5 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 2 tsp – coriander powder
• 2 tsp – Jeera powder
• salt to taste
• For the Dough:
• 1.5 cup – Maida
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/4 tsp – Jeera
• oil as required
• cold water to knead
• salt to taste
Method:
- Heat oil in a kadai and saute onions. Add the smashed potato and green moong. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and salt.
- Take lemon sized balls of the dough.
- Stuff with a tsp of the filling.
- Flatten the ball a bit and deep fry.
- Serve hot with green chutney and tamarind chutney.
