Ingredients:
• 1 – Carrot
• 1 raw – Banana
• 1/2 – Onion
• 1/2 inch – Ginger
• 3 – Green chilli
• 4 – Dates
• 5 – Mint leaves
• 1 tsp – roasted groundnuts
• 1 tsp – oil
• 1/2 tsp – chilli powder
• salt to taste
• Lemon juice
• 1 tsp – chat masala
• 1/4 tsp – mustard
• 1/4 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1 tsp – Lemon juice
Method:
- Grate carrots, chop onion, chilli, mint and ginger.
- Boil raw banana for 10 mins. Cool, peel and mash.
- Chop dates and grind ground nuts coarsely.
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard.
- Once they crackle, add urad dal, chopped onion, ginger, chilli and stir.
- Add red chilli powder, salt, carrots and fry.
- Cook for 2 mins. Add chopped mint, chat masala and remove from heat.
- Cool and add mashed raw banana, lemon juice and mix well.
- Divide into 6 to 8 portions and stuff with the chopped dates.
- Make a patty or tikki and coat with groundnut powder.
- Fry carefully in a non-stick pan on medium heat till crisp.
- Serve hot.
