Ingredients:

• 2 cup – besan
• 1 tsp – salt
• 1 tsp – Sugar
• 1 tsp – citric acid
• 1 tsp – Eno
• 1 tbsp – oil
• 1/4 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 5-6 – Green chillies
• 1 cup – sugared water
• 1/2 cup – grated Coconut
• 1 bunch – Coriander leaves

Method:

  1. In a pressure cooker, boil water and keep it ready to steam the khaman.
  2. Mix the first five ingredients with water and make a smooth batter.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased thali and keep it in the cooker.
  4. Cook it for 10 minutes without using the whistle.
  5. Let it cool for a 5 – 10 minutes.
  6. Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds.
  7. When they pop, add chopped green chillies and sugared water.
  8. Pour the oil over the khaman.
  9. Cut into pieces and garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves and grated coconut.
