Ingredients:

• Kaddu – 1
• Besan flour – 1/2 cup
• Green chillies – 7
• Coriander leaves – 1/2 bunch
• Lime – half
• Onions – 2
• Ginger Garlic paste – 1 tbsp
• Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
• Poppy Seeds – 4 tbsp
• Dry Coconut – 2 tbsp
• Tomatoes – 2
• Curd – 1 cup
• Chilli powder – 2 tbsp
• Turmeric – 1/4 tbsp
• Oil
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Peel and grate kaddu and mix it with salt and keep it aside.
  2. Heat a kadai and add 2 tbsp oil, add green chillies and besan flour and fry the flour for few minutes.
  3. Now squeeze the kaddu removing water from it.
  4. Add this to the above mixture along with lime juice and make small balls (koftas) out of it.
  5. Now deep fry the koftas in oil and keep aside
  6. For the gravy:
  7. Grind poppy seeds and dry coconut into a paste by adding water.
  8. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a kadai and fry onions till they turn golden brown to this add garlic ginger paste, chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, and the ground paste fry for few mins.
  9. Then add tomato and curd to the above and fry it for few mins till the tomatoes are soft.
  10. To this, add the koftas.
  11. Serve hot.
