
Ingredients:
• 6-7 – Dates deseeded
• Tamarind – Lemon sized ball
• 1/4 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1/4 tsp – carom seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Fennel seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1 cup – water
• 2 inch cube – Jaggery
• 1/2 tsp – black salt
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Boil water in a pan, add tamarind, dates, jaggery and remove from the stove.
- Let it soak in water for an hour.
- Grind into a smooth paste. Transfer the paste to a pan and add another cup of water and mix well.
- Now add red chilli powder, cumin seeds, ajwain, fennel seeds, black salt and salt.
- Cook till it reduces to a consistency of sauce.
