Ingredients:

• 1/2 kg – king fish/seer fish slices/Spanish blue mackerel
• 1 tsp – Ginger Garlic paste
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• salt
• 3 tbsp – oil
• 2 – green mangoes, peeled and cut into medium-sized pieces
• 2 – onions, sliced finely
• 1/2 cup – Coconut paste
• 2 – Green chillies
• 3 tbsp – Coriander leaves

Method:

  1. Cook the green mango pieces with the green chilies and a pinch of turmeric in a little water till soft.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions till golden brown.
  3. Add the ginger garlic paste and saute for a few minutes.
  4. Add the turmeric powder, chillies powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, coconut paste and salt and mix well.
  5. Keep frying on low heat till the oil separates from the mixture.
  6. Add the fish and the cooked mango pieces and a little water and cook for 5 to 6 minutes till the fish is done.
  7. Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.
  8. Serve it hot with rice.
