Ingredients:

• 1 – lemon, big
• 1 cup – raw Rice
• 1 tsp – Turmeric
• Asafetida, a pinch
• Salt to taste
• Oil for frying
• Cashew nuts, a small quantity
• Mustard, a small quantity
• 4 – Green chillies
• 2 tsp – Bengal Gram
• 1 tsp – black gram
• Groundnuts, a small quantity
• Coriander leaves, a small quantity
• Curry leaves, a small quantity

Method:

  1. Keep raw rice in cooker.
  2. Meanwhile squeeze lemon in a small bowl and mix turmeric, asafoetida and required salt to it. Keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and fry mustard, Bengal gram, black gram, green chillies, groundnuts, cashew nuts and curry leaves.
  4. Once all these are fried, pour lemon juice and let the mixture boil for about 2 minutes.
  5. Then add this mixture to the boiled rice.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves.
