Ingredients:

• Prawns – 500 g
• Onion – 4
• Ginger – 1 inch piece
• Garlic – 4 flakes
• For Grinding:
• Coconut grated – 1/2 cup
• Red Chilli – 6
• Tamarind pulp – 1/2 cup
• Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
• Coriander leaves – 1 bunch
• Oil – 1/4 cup
• Salt to taste.

Method:

  1. Clean the prawns and keep aside.
  2. Grind the ingredients for the paste and marinate the prawns in this mixture.
  3. In a kadai, heat oil, saute onions till golden brown. Add chopped ginger and garlic and saute for few seconds.
  4. Now put the marinated prawns in it and saute for a few minutes.
  5. Add a cup of water and cook till the prawns are done.
  6. Then roast it till the oil separates.
  7. Serve hot.
