Ingredients:
• Cherry or Grape Tomato/tiny Tomato – 1/4 kg
• Onion (chopped) – 1.5 cups
• Sesame seed – 2 tbsp
• Cumin – 1 tbsp
• Coriander powder – 1.5 tbsp
• Ginger Garlic paste – 1 tbsp
• Chilli powder – 1.5 tbsp
• Turmeric powder – 2 pinches
• Oil – 2 tbsp
• Sugar – 1 tbsp
• Coriander leaves to garnish
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Fry 1/2 cup of the chopped onions in a pan.
- Roast the sesame seeds and cumin, and grind with coriander powder, chilli powder, ginger garlic paste and the fried onions to make a paste.
- Make holes in the tomatoes with a fork.
- Fry the remaining onion pieces with turmeric powder in a pan until they turn golden.
- Add tomatoes and fry for a few minutes until they become tender.
- Add the paste and sugar and fry again.
- Add 1 cup of water, salt and cook on high flame for 5 mins.
- Lower the flame and cook for another 15 mins.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
