Ingredients:

• 1/2 packet – Angel Hair Pasta
• 1 – big Onion (sliced)
• 3 – Green chillies (slit)
• 1/2 cup – Carrot (chopped)
• 1 cup – Cabbage (shredded)
• 1/2 cup – Green peas (frozen)
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds + Urad Dal
• 1 tsp – Channa dal
• 1/4 tsp – Hing powder
• a few Curry leaves
• 1/2 tsp – Ginger (grated)
• oil as needed
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Cook the pasta as per the package instructions.
  2. Heat oil and add the mustard seeds. When the seeds splutter, add urad dal, hing, curry leaves and grated ginger and fry for a few minutes.
  3. Add the onions and green chillies and cook until the onions are translucent.
  4. Add the carrots, green peas and turmeric powder and cook for a few minutes. Now add the cabbage and salt and cook again until the vegetables shrink a bit.
  5. Close the lid and cook on simmer until the vegetables gets well cooked.
  6. Add the pasta and toss everything gently until everything mixes well.
  7. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
