Ingredients:

• Milk – 3 cups
• Moong dal – 1 cup
• Jaggery – 1 cup
• Ghee – 1 tsp
• Cardamom – 1/2 tsp
• Turmeric – 1 pinch
• Cashews and Raisins for garnishing

Method:

  1. Fry the moong dal in a kadai for 2-3 mins in ghee.
  2. Pressure cook the moong dal with a pinch of turmeric powder and water.
  3. To the cooked dal, add jaggery, milk and boil for 10-15 mins.
  4. Garnish with fried cashews and raisins.
  5. Serve hot.
