Ingredients:

• 1 kg – fresh Chicken
• 4 – onions, chopped
• 1 tbsp – garlic-ginger paste
• 1 tbsp – chilli powder
• Garam Masala – ( 2 – cardamom, 2 – cloves, 2 – Cinnamon sticks)
• 2 – potatoes, cut into 8 pieces
• 1 tbsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – salt
• 1 – tomato, finely chopped
• 4 – tbsp Mustard oil

Method:

  1. Clean, wash, drain and pat dry the chicken pieces and marinate with 1 tsp salt and turmeric along with all the masalas except chopped onions.
  2. Heat the pressure cooker, with some oil.
  3. Fry the potatoes pieces with 1 tsp of salt and turmeric powder
  4. Add the onions fry till pink in colour.
  5. Add the marinated chicken, chopped tomatoes and pressure cook for 5 mins.
  6. When the pressure subsides open the lid, add 1/2 cup hot water.
  7. Cook for at least 10 mins till 1 whistle.
  8. Simmer for sometime and serve.
