
Ingredients:
• Button or Oyster Mushroom – 200 g
• Coriander seed – 1 tbsp
• Pepper – 1 tsp
• Fennel – 1 tbsp
• Grated Coconut – 1/3 cup
• Red Chilli – 5-6
• Garlic – 6 flakes
• Ginger – small piece
• Oil – 4 tbsp
• Cinnamon – 2 pieces, 2 cm each
• Onion – 1 cup, chopped
• Tomato – 1 cup, chopped
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Clean and cut the mushrooms into quarters.
- Roast the coriander seeds, pepper, fennel seeds, coconut, red chillies, garlic and ginger in a little oil and grind to a smooth paste.
- Heat oil in a pan and add the cinnamon pieces and chopped onions.
- When the onions turn brown, add the paste and the tomatoes and fry well.
- Add the mushrooms and salt.
- Cover and cook on slow flame for about 10 mins until the mushrooms are tender.
- Serve with rice or roti.
