
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – All purpose flour
• 1 cup – Wheat flour
• 1/2 cup – Unsweetened cocoa powder
• 3 tbsp – Nutella spread
• 1 tsp – Baking powder
• 2 tbsp – Butter (room temperature)
• 2 – eggs (room temperature)
• 1 cup – Sugar
• 1 tsp – Vanilla extract
• 1/2 tsp – Almond extract
• 1/2 cup – Silvered Almonds
Method:
- In a large bowl, beat the butter, eggs, sugar, vanilla and almond extract together until the mixture turns smooth.
- Meanwhile sift together the flours, cocoa powder and baking powder and keep aside.
- Now gradually add the dry ingredients, nutella and half of the silvered almonds to the wet ingredients and mix until its turns into a dough.
- Divide the dough and roll them as two logs over a lightly floured surface.
- Transfer the logs to the baking sheet.
- Arrange with enough space.
- Now sprinkle the remaining nuts on the top and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and cool it for 15 minutes.
- On a cutting board, cut the cooked dough diagonally as cookies and arrange them again over baking sheets.
- Bake again for 15-20 minutes by turning the baking sheet midway during baking, until the cookies turns firm.
- Cool the biscottis completely and store them in an air-tight box and enjoy.
- These biscottis stays prefect for more than a week.
