
Ingredients:
• 1.5 cups – maida, sieved
• 3 tbsp – Sugar
• 2 tsp – baking powder
• 1 no Egg
• 1.25 cup – Milk
• 3 tbsp – peanuts, roasted, shelled & crushed
• 3 tbsp – sesame seeds, roasted
• 3 tbsp – butter, unsalted
• 2 tbsp – icing sugar, sieved
• 4 tsp – oil
• salt to taste
Method:
- Mix the maida, sugar, baking powder and salt together in a bowl and keep aside.
- Then beat separately the egg lightly.
- Make a hole in the centre of the flour and add the egg, milk and oil.
- Mix the above till a smooth batter is obtained.
- Keep this mixture aside for two hours.
- Heat a frying pan on a low flame.
- Apply butter on the heated pan.
- Then pour one ladle spoon of batter on the pan.
- Cover it and let it cook on a low flame for 3 minutes.
- Then apply some butter over the pancake.
- Top this with icing sugar, followed by a little sesame seeds and lastly followed by some peanuts.
- Cover again and cook till the pancake is done.
- Remove and fold the pancake in half.
- Dust the pancake with icing sugar. Prepare the remaining pancakes in the same way.
- Serve hot.
