Ingredients:

• 2 cups – packed Cilantro leaves, chopped fine
• 1 cup – Chickpea flour/besan
• 1 tbsp – Rice flour
• 1/4 cup – grated Coconut
• 4 – green chillies, minced fine
• 2 tsp – Lemon juice
• 1 tsp – ginger-garlic paste
• 1 tsp – sesame seeds
• 1 tsp – Poppy Seeds
• 1 tsp – Turmeric
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala
• 1 tsp – Sugar
• 1 pinch – Asafoetida
• oil for frying
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Mix the cilantro, coconut, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, lemon juice, turmeric, asafetida, garam masala, sugar and salt properly.
  2. Then, heat oil in a pan and fry this for some time.
  3. In a bowl, take besan and rice flour, and add a little bit of salt and chill powder and water and make a dough.
  4. Keep it aside.
  5. Make small balls of the dough and make small chapatis of it.
  6. Add the fried mixture into each of the chapatis and fold it well.
  7. Now, heat oil in a pan and deep fry the chapatis till golden brown.
  8. Take it out and cut it into small slices.
  9. The kothimbir vadi is ready.
