Ingredients:
• Mackerels – 3
• Ginger – 1/2 inch piece
• Garlic – 8
• Green chilli – 4
• chilli powder – 2 tsp
• Coconut oil – enough for frying
• White Vinegar – 4 tbsp
Method:
- Cut and clean mackerels into small pieces.
- Then marinate it with 3 tsp chilli powder, 3 tsp garlic-ginger paste, 3/4 tsp fennel seed powder and 1 tsp turmeric powder.
- Keep this in fridge for 1 hour and fry in coconut oil.
- Chop garlic, ginger and green chillies.
- Also cut a few curry leaves.
- After frying fish, take it out and put chopped garlic, ginger, green chillies and curry leaves in the remaining oil.
- Fry for few minutes.
- Add 4 tbsp of white vinegar and 2 tsp of chilli powder into this.
- Let it boil.
- Put fried mackerel pieces into it.
- Remove from fire.
- When it turns cool keep in the refrigerator.
- Mix before serving.
- We can also make pickle with kingfish, shark and prawns.
