Ingredients:

• Rice flour – 1 cup
• Maida – 1 cup
• Rava (Sooji) – 1 cup
• Red Chilli powder -2 tsps
• Onions – 2
• Salt as needed
• Oil – 2 tsp for the dough and to deep fry the vadas

Method:

  1. In a bowl mix rice flour, maida, sooji.
  2. Add red chilli powder, chopped onions and salt as needed.
  3. Add 2 tsps of hot oil.
  4. Add water and make it into a tight dough.
  5. Start heating oil in a pan.
  6. Make small balls of the dough.
  7. Take a small plastic sheet and pat the balls till it’s flat and round.
  8. Deep fry the flattened dough in the oil till golden brown.
  9. Take out the vada from the pan, drain on absorbent paper and serve with ketchup.
