
Ingredients:
• Tomatoes – 3 to 4, big
• Garlic – 4 to 5
• Chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
• Green chilli – 1, slit in middle
• Onions – 1 to 2, finely chopped
• Oil – 2 tsp
• Mustard – 1/4 tsp
• Jeera – 1/4 tsp
• Curry leaves – 8 to 10
• Salt – to taste
• Sugar – 1/2 tsp
• Garam Masala – 1/4 tsp
• Coriander leaves – 1 bundle, finely chopped
• Grated Coconut – 3 tbsp
Method:
- Grind tomatoes without adding water.
- Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard and jeera.
- Add curry leaves, slit green chilli, garlic and stir.
- Add chopped onions and fry till transparent.
- Add tomato puree and stir for 2-3 mins.
- Add chilli powder, salt and sugar. Cook for 10-15 mins on a low flame, till the raw smell of tomato goes.
- Add garam masala, stir for 2 mins and remove.
- Add chopped coriander, coconut and serve hot with chapatti, paratha, etc.
