Ingredients:

• 1 cup – cooked red kidney beans, soaked and pressure cooked
• 1cup – sweet potato, cooked and smashed
• 1 – onion, chopped
• 1/4 tsp – Fennel seed powder
• 1/2 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1/4 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• 4 – Curry leaves
• Salt to taste
• 1/4 cup – bread crumbs
• 2 tbsp – Corn flour
• Oil as required

Method:

  1. Saute onion in oil until they turn translucent.
  2. Smash the cooked red kidney beans coarsely and add the cooked onions, mix well.
  3. Then add red chilli powder, fennel seed powder, curry leaves, garam masala powder and salt.
  4. Add this to the cooked sweet potato pieces, mix well and turn them as dough.
  5. Make 10-12 balls and flatten it to a patty.
  6. Add water to the corn flour to make a white paste.
  7. Dip each patty in white sauce and roll it evenly in bread crumbs, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  8. Shallow fry both sides of patty till golden brown.
  9. Serve hot.
