Ingredients:

• 1 – big red Capsicum
• 1 tbsp – Channa dal
• 1/2 tbsp – Urad Dal
• 1/2 tbsp – mustard
• 1/2 tsp – Methi seeds
• Lemon size – Tamarind
• 1 pinch – Hing
• 4 – Red Chillies
• 4 -green chillies
• 4 tbsp – oil
• salt
• 1 pinch – Turmeric

Method:

  1. Heat 2 tbsps oil, add channa dal, urad dal, mustard, methi seeds and red chillies.
  2. Once the mustard pops, add tamarind, hing and green chillies. Keep aside and let it cool.
  3. Cut red capsicum into cubes and fry them in the remaining oil until tender.
  4. In a blender, grind the seasoning and then add the capsicum cubes.
  5. Add a pinch of turmeric and some salt. Grind it until the chutney is soft.
  6. This can be eaten with hot rice and oil or ghee.
