Ingredients:
• 1 – big red Capsicum
• 1 tbsp – Channa dal
• 1/2 tbsp – Urad Dal
• 1/2 tbsp – mustard
• 1/2 tsp – Methi seeds
• Lemon size – Tamarind
• 1 pinch – Hing
• 4 – Red Chillies
• 4 -green chillies
• 4 tbsp – oil
• salt
• 1 pinch – Turmeric
Method:
- Heat 2 tbsps oil, add channa dal, urad dal, mustard, methi seeds and red chillies.
- Once the mustard pops, add tamarind, hing and green chillies. Keep aside and let it cool.
- Cut red capsicum into cubes and fry them in the remaining oil until tender.
- In a blender, grind the seasoning and then add the capsicum cubes.
- Add a pinch of turmeric and some salt. Grind it until the chutney is soft.
- This can be eaten with hot rice and oil or ghee.
