Ingredients:

• 25 slices – bread (preferably a day old)
• 60 g – clarified Butter
• 230 g – granulated Sugar
• 570 ml – Milk
• 4 eggs
• 1/2 cup – chopped Almonds
• 1 1/2 tsp – vanilla essence
• 1 tsp – Cinnamon power
• For the Sauce:
• 110 g – melted Butter
• 50 g – castor Sugar
• 6 eggs
• 1 tsp – vanilla essence

Method:

  1. Line a baking dish and place bread on it. In a bowl, mix sugar, eggs, milk, cinnamon powder and vanilla essence.
  2. Pour this mixture over the bread slices and press with a spatula so that the bread gets soaked.
  3. Top with chopped almonds.
  4. Add to the clarified butter and press until the chopped almonds also get soaked.
  5. Bake at 180 degrees for an hour or so.
  6. For Sauce: Add sugar to the melted butter and cook over low flame until sugar dissolves.
  7. Do not allow it to turn brown.
  8. Beat eggs and add vanilla essence. Add the egg mixture.
  9. Cut pudding and pour sauce. Serve hot.
