
Ingredients:
• Cucumber – 1
• Moong dal – 4 tbsps
• Channa dal – 2 tsp
• Scrapped fresh Coconut – 4 tsp
• Black Gram Dhal – 2 tsp
• Jeera – 1 tsp
• Green chillies – 2
Method:
- Peel and cut cucumber and the chillies into small pieces.
- Add moong dhal, channa dal and 3/4 cups water to the cucumber and chillies.
- Cook mixture in pressure cooker.
- Fry black gram dal in a little oil till it turns light brown in colour and grind with coconut.
- Mix well with cucumber, then add jeera and hing.
- Season with mustard, black gram dhal and curry leaves. Cook for 2 mins and the cucumber kootu is ready.
