Ingredients:
• 500 g – Paneer
• 350 g – boiled Potatoes
• 40 g – Onion (cut into small pieces)
• 15 g – Garlic (grated)
• 15 g – Ginger (grated)
• 2-3 -green chillies
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1 tsp -mustard seeds
• 4-6 -curry leaves
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 2 tbsp – Coriander leaves chopped
• 200 g – gram flour (besan)
• salt
• oil
• 2 – lemons, obtain juice from these.
Method:
- Cut paneer into squares of about 1.5 inch wide. Marinate the paneer pieces in salt and lemon juice. Keep aside while you prepare the stuffing.
- Mix besan, water, salt and keep it aside. This mixture should be thick.
- In a wok, heat some oil and add cumin seed, mustard seeds and curry leaves. Fry for few seconds.
- Next add onion, garlic, ginger and fry till golden in colour.
- Now mix mashed potatoes and keep on stirring for 5 mins. Also stir in the green chilli and red chilli powder. When this is done let it cool.
- Now take out the paneer pieces from the marinade and add a thick coating of potato on each piece.
- Heat oil, dip this paneer piece in besan mixture and deep-fry in oil till little red in colour.
- Enjoy this snack with tomato ketchup or coriander chutney.
