Ingredients:

• Prawns – 250 gm
• chopped onions, large – 1
• diced capsicum, large – 1
• Egg – 1
• diced tomato, medium – 2
• Corn paste – 2 tbsp
• Corn paste dissolved in water – 2 tbsp
• chilli powder – 1 tsp
• Tomato sauce – 1/2 cup
• Sugar – 4 tbsp
• Vinegar – 4 tbsp
• pepper – 2 grinds/ 1 tsp
• oil as required
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Wash and clean the prawns. Mix egg, salt, pepper and corn paste. Dip the prawns in the batter and fry them. Keep aside.
  2. Put oil in a pan. Fry the onions. Take them out.
  3. Fry the capsicum a little. Add the tomato sauce, vinegar, sugar, chilli powder and little corn paste mixed with water.
  4. Let the sauce simmer till it becomes thick.
  5. Add the fried prawns, onions and tomatoes.
  6. Mix well for 2 mins.
  7. Serve hot with rice.
