Ingredients:

• Coconut – 1
• Onions (medium sized) – 2 or 3
• Green chillies – 2 or 3
• Potatoes (medium sized) – 2
• Carrot (medium sized) – 1
• Garlic – 1 or 2 Cloves finely minced
• Ginger powder or finely minced Ginger – 1/2 tsp.
• Lime (squeezed) – 1
• Chopped coriander for garnishing

Method:

  1. Extract milk 3 times.
  2. Keep aside the first extracted milk.
  3. Mix together the second and third portions.
  4. Splutter mustard seed and gram dal and onions, chillies ginger and garlic.
  5. Fry till the onions are done.
  6. Then add potatoes, and carrots saute them for a while. Add the second and third portion of the coconut milk.
  7. When the vegetables are cooked, add salt and the first portion of coconut milk.
  8. After removing from fire add the squeezed lemon and chopped coriander.
  9. Serve hot.
