
Ingredients:
• Soya nuggets – 1 cup
• Onion sliced – 1 cup
• Ginger and Green chilli paste – 2 tsp
• Garlic chopped fine -1 tsp
• Saunf (fennel seeds) – 1/2 tsp
• Dhaniya powder – 1 tsp
• Garam Masala powder – 1 tsp
• Kashmiri chilli powder – 1 tsp
• salt to taste
• Oil – 2 tbsp
• Water – 4.5 cups
Method:
- Boil 3 cups water and add the soya nuggets.
- Boil for 2 minutes and turn off the gas.
- Keep covered for 10 minutes.
- Drain off the water and squeeze excess water from soya nuggets.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil. Fry the sliced onion.
- Add the ginger/chilli paste, dhania powder, chilli powder and fry well.
- Cool and grind to paste with one tomato.
- Heat oil. Add the fennel seeds, chopped garlic and fry. Add the ground masala and fry again.
- Add the garam masala and mix.
- Add the soya nuggets and stir.
- Add salt to taste.
- Add 1.5 cup water and simmer till gravy thickens.
- Sprinkle coriander leaves and serve hot.
