Ingredients:
• 8 – sardines or 6 – mackerels
• 1 cup – thick Coconut Milk
• 1/2 inch – Ginger
• 3 pod – Garlic
• 1/2 – red Onion
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric
• 2 tbsp – Kashmiri chilli
• 1/2 tsp – coriander powder
• A small ball of Tamarind
• Green chillies
• Curry leaves
• Coriander leaves
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Clean and cut the fish.
- Place in a wok.
- To this, add ginger, garlic, onion, green chillies (all cut lengthwise), curry leaves, coriander leaves.
- Soak tamarind in water and extract juice.
- Add to the fish.
- Also add the chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt.
- Mix this to a smooth paste.
- Add some water and boil for 10 mins.
- Finally add the coconut milk.
- Serve with hot rice.
