Ingredients:

• 10 – lamb kidneys or 1 calf kidney
• 4 – small Onions sliced finely
• 2 tsp – pepper powder
• salt to taste
• 2 tsp – oil

Method:

  1. Wash and clean the kidneys and cut into small slices.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan and saute the onions lightly.
  3. Add the kidney pieces, salt, pepper and mix well.
  4. Add 1 cup of water and cook on low heat till the kidneys are cooked.
  5. Thicken the gravy with a tbsp of flour mixed with a little water.
  6. This dish goes well with toast and baked beans.
