Ingredients:

• 1 kg – Beef or Mutton mince
• 2 – Onions chopped finely
• 3 tbsp – chopped Coriander leaves or chopped Parsley
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – pepper powder
• 4 tbsp – breadcrumbs
• 2 tbsp – Tomato sauce
• 2 tbsp – flour
• salt to taste
• 4 tbsp – oil

Method:

  1. Mix the mince with the chopped onions, coriander leaves / parsley, chilli powder, pepper powder, salt and bread crumbs and set aside for one hour.
  2. Squeeze out all the water.
  3. Divide into equal size portions then roll into balls.
  4. Heat oil in a non-stick pan and fry the meat balls gently till they are brown.
  5. Remove and keep aside.
  6. In the same oil add 2 tbsp of flour, 1 tsp pepper powder, a pinch of salt, 2 tbsp tomato sauce and mix well.
  7. Add 1 cup of water and bring to boil.
  8. Add the fried meat balls and shake the pan gently so that the gravy covers all of them.
  9. Simmer on low heat for about 20 mins till the meat balls are firm.
  10. The gravy will be quite thick.
  11. Serve with bread or pilaf rice.
